EDWIN TELLE LLB
“I am one of the founding directors of Neilsons and I run the litigation arm of the firm together with my friends and colleagues, Trent Bowler and Luke Meys. I had a heart transplant as a teenager and it taught me empathy, especially from the people who cared for me. They taught me to see the best in people. I believe very strongly that everyone should have access to the law.
“I’m one of a handful of successful commercial litigators who also does some civil legal aid. I love the people I work with and my clients are great. I’m known for backing the underdog because I believe in justice. What have I learned in my career? You can’t win everything all of the time. But you have to fight on. I take on cases, whether commercial or civil, because they are worthwhile and because I believe in them. As a lawyer I have the power to make a real difference to people’s lives.
“My client relationships are crucial. I believe the client-solicitor relationship is an extremely special relationship. It’s something people need to be able to rely on and have the utmost of faith in. My clients know I will fight my hardest for them.”
